As an Army wife, If You Leave by Courtney Cole is one of my worst nightmares. PTSD is something we are all fully aware of but we hope it is something we never have to encounter. Gabriel has served his country in Afghanistan and came home a different man.
Madison doesn’t think she needs anyone based on experiences from earlier in her life. To read how the relationship develops between Maddie and Gabriel is intense and emotional. If You Leave is a raw, gritty story that truly touched my heart.
